Barbara Osafo, CNM, WHNP-BC, received her Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where she graduated with honors.

Prior to joining Capital Women’s Care, Ms. Osafo was a Certified Nurse Midwife at Prince George’s Hospital Center and Mercy Medical Center. She also worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at various hospitals in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington, DC.

Ms. Osafo practices full scope midwifery including obstetrics and gynecology. Her medical interests include prenatal care, deliveries, contraception management, vaginal health, and diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.

As a previous Zumba instructor, Ms. Osafo likes a good workout. She also enjoys listening to music (especially Prince), and spending time with family and friends.
