About Tara D. Gartling, C.N.M.
Tara is originally from Oklahoma and relocated with her family to Baltimore, Maryland in 2011. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2014 and began working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse before returning to school to complete her Master’s in Nursing for Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2019. Tara is passionate about the Midwifery Model of Care and practices by providing our patients and their family with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, postpartum support and shared decision making. Her special interest includes adolescent health and education, family planning and fertility. Before beginning her career in Nursing, Tara served eleven years in the Army and Oklahoma National Guard as a Health Care Specialist where she received several service related honors and medals.
Tara is married with four children, two dogs and resides in the Towson area. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, baking, and watching college football. Go Sooners!!
